What a shame... This is a perfect example of how people might think that doing something irresponsible is not a big deal but, when (billions of) other people follow their example, it becomes catastrophic. Just don’t do it! Just because there is no ‘perceived’ danger does not mean there is no danger. Imagine how all those people who discovered overfishing, over-farming their land, deforestation and other foolish activities must have felt later when their ignorance and irresponsibility went into full effect and there were no more fish, crops or trees to sustain them. Some people, like the Chinese - where overpopulation has already taken a toll (or the Texas A&M Agriculture specialists who traveled there to teach them how to restore their farmable land) - can tell you about these things already. You certainly won’t hear it from anyone who has to foot the bill for fixing it, like...Politicians. Eventually, they will also have to come to terms with it - with the added ‘bonus’ of being directly responsible for not doing anything about it (which, in fact, we are all guilty of...if you think about it). Imagine how we’re going to feel in the future when our skies have no more ability to protect us from the dangers of outer space and terrestrial weather or our seas have no more fish. Might want to start learning how to digest plastic and wear armor while breathing through a gas mask - or do something about that now, before it’s too late. Even if you’re not going to be around then, what kind of human dooms their descendants to having to live such a life? Not a responsible one...
