So...yeah, this is what we were driving into on Saturday, less than 5 minutes behind and trailing it. If we would've left Houston any sooner, we would have been at home when it hit. We rolled up right after it passed over our house. I was driving up the highway while my phone was going insane with tornado warnings, watching the freeway with one eye and the night sky with the other. It's miraculous we avoided it by mere minutes and our place avoided damage, since we were right in the path. My heart goes out to all the people in Rowlett across the lake who caught some of the worst of it.

Well, I suppose that when voters from one (R) party see someone from another party (D) trying to do whatever they can to be straightforward and transparent... ...a candidate who's been around a long time, had the same message for decades and is actually making progress... ...but the voters ignore all that because they are from another (R) party (which has yet to produce a sane, capable candidate) or are convinced that there's a shred of honesty to anything Clinton had, is or ever will be involved in... ...and then, the same candidate, who is still trying to do the right thing, be transparent and straightforward (you know...the things most voters say they WANT the candidates to do) is cheated, conned, lied to and tricked by the people in his own (D) party - probably at the behest of another candidate (Hilary Clinton) who would do anything to be elected (and whose former campaign manager now runs the DNC)... ...then I would be pretty sure the US is probably going to continue to spiral into failure, since people vote not for what they claim to want or need - but for any old talking head that can entertain (lie to) them long enough to get that vote.
