Consider this: If you were Juilan Assange - guilty in his home country of a rape and facing legal issues/prison for avoiding British justice...and facing serious issues in America for publishing classified intelligence material on WikiLeaks in an attempt to undermine Clinton and get Trump elected - and the intelligence community is now going all out to nail Trump, which might allow you the opportunity to reduce your damage by divulging information that you may only have about Trump and Co. attempt to sway the election, wouldn't you make a deal like this? Surely, you would be treated better in the US by the agents you screwed, but then helped dispose of a rogue President (that you helped elect). I'm sure you would fare better than you would in your own country after having been nailed by British courts and, consequently, American ones for not doing anything to rid America of this mistake in the Oval Office. This may very well be the nail in Trump & Co's coffin...

This may very well be the nail in Trump & Co's coffin... - WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who has been holed up in Ecuador's London embassy for six years, is considering an offer to appear before the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee to discuss alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, his lawyer said on Thursday.
