- The public complains about how computer gaming desensitizes people to violence - and then they go and turn combat into a video game. There is no honor, justice or any other redeeming quality in it...and it certainly isn't leading by ethical or moral example. They'd better just remember how lucky they are that they got there before the 'enemy' did, because you know they'd be screaming 'war crime' if they didn't (and they'd better hope that luck doesn't run out or the advantage doesn't become common technology - which is inevitable)! If they were wise, they'd be grateful they developed the tech first, bury it so nobody could turn it against them and thank the heavens they're still alive and have a choice... ;) (y)

The band that opened for Pentatonix last night, Us The Duo, have an awesome back story, they're married and are passionately pursuing their love of music together. They've gone from YouTube to touring colleges and all the way to playing arenas. That's impressive! I was amazed by how talented they were! She came out singing and he was on an acoustic guitar. Then, he picked up a bass guitar and she started to play drums....then his wife asked him for the bass guitar and he picked up his acoustic again and they started playing. They also have incredible voices and their harmony is spot-on! I wasn't that familiar with them, really, but now that I am...I think I'll be listening to them more often. Here's a couple covers - I think you'll see what I mean:

Here's one more video that we made with the Apple phone (better quality) from the Pentatonix show last night. This was the encore - they did something I've never seen before (and I've been to truckloads of concerts - mostly, as a stagehand). They asked the capacity crowd to be perfectly silent and then dropped their mics to the floor to sing some A Capella without any PA or audio equipment of any kind - just their own raw voices. The entire place was silent and you could hear a pin drop! We heard them singing loud and clear from our seats and, when the song was over, there was a riotous round of applause. Then, they went into their final song - 'Sing' - which closed out the show. It was a really great time. Again, our apologies for the choppy videos. My phone was poor for filming at a concert and, since the place was owned by AT&T (and, oddly, there was no Wi-Fi available), everyone was using up all the bandwidth, so I had a slow connection. Anyway, we thought we'd share for those who didn't make the show! ^_^ (y)
