Moses wasn't anywhere around when Texas gained Statehood. Not only that, but the people who lived here (Karankawas, etc.) probably would have eaten the man if he would have had the stones to come here then. These people are a hamburger and a few dozen fries short of a Happy Meal - and the LAST place they should be is anywhere near our school system. If anything, they're the failed products thereof and are woefully unprepared to make it any better. It's no wonder we have Presidential candidates the likes of those we have now...and voters who are equally as inept to go along with them. The entire system is a dystopian, entropic spiral of failure. F'in ridiculous... (Thanks, Jon de la Luz, I think...) ;)

Some friends (at least, those who enjoy long, philosophical conversations) have heard me explain my opinion on Logic vs. Faith. Several have not, however. I think we all wonder about these things and I thought I'd share my own perspective...as well as this article, which is very interesting in its explanation behind the 'supposed' conflict between science and religion - 'supposed' because not all people believe there is a conflict. ^_^ I believe that there is a figurative sort of 'Tree of Divine Wisdom' which has two main branches. One is faith and the other is logic - both being of equal importance. In my opinion, the healthiest of us have 'branches' on that tree that are of equal length. The reason this is important is two-fold. When one is overly faithful, they tend to lack the logic to prevent themselves from falling prey to flights of emotional/spiritual fancy and/or are often easily misled by those who might manipulate them. They may also, in fact, be highly prone to become zealots. When one is overly dependent on logic, they can (and often do - note that suicide rates are commonly high in those with high IQs) 'reason' themselves into an untenable situation. This might cause people who lack faith to, say, grab an assault rifle and go shoot up a mall or take their own lives, thinking there is no hope or reasonable solution. This is a much better written (though, not as concise) version that is similar to my own perspective. Since this is, for nearly all humans, an existential question that we all seek an answer to, you might want to invest the time to read it. (y) #Faith #Logic #Science #Brain

Here's a well-written, informative article that's worth reading - and here's why: Some people may be well aware they're making poor, unethical choices. On the other hand, some may believe they are 'doing the right thing' but, in truth, are ever-so-slowly drifting away from what is right and ethical at a pace so slow they haven't noticed - especially in light of the fact that life tends to be so busy and fast-moving. Which are you? This article may be able to shed some light on that, if you're not afraid of the truth. (y)

Another great article... This one, an opposition to the TPP. It looks to me like voting still works just fine in America when ethical vigilance is applied both within a campaign and against those who try to destroy it. This election is a great example of what the people can still do when they are united in purpose - even in the face of media interference, manipulation and silence as well as voting corruption and irregularities. Of course, it does help considerably when the candidate has kept on point, avoided pandering to his base, raised money the correct (non-sellout) way and...the alternative candidates seem like they escaped from a mental hospital. There's no suppressing truth and what is just and right. Those who try only end up failing and looking even more foolish once they've been exposed. #WeThePeople #FeelTheBern

It just keeps getting worse and worse for the criminal political actress, Clinton...while Cruz and Trump are perpetually busy taking cheap shots at each other (and each other's wives) while disregarding the issues and concerns of the people. Meanwhile, Sanders continues to get shut out by the media, is rising in the polls and hasn't got a scandal in the world plaguing him. He's looking so clean and focused that even the birds are coming to be near him. Sadly, the electorate is still trying desperately to disregard him - in favor of their favorite reality TV candidates. This brilliant woman may have just put a huge target on her own head, but such are the risks that brave people take for finally speaking the truth from the other side - something that has been long overdue. Many Westerners think all Muslims are bad but they are really narrow-minded, unenlightened and see all of them as the same. They take for granted that they don't have to live in fear of being forced from their lands, murdered by their own people en masse or have half the concerns that good Muslim people do, which has been why these good people haven't spoken out much sooner. This is exactly what needed to happen - someone from that side to break their silence. Now, not only will other good Muslims have a spiritual icon with whom they can feel free to speak out against those in their own lands and faiths that have been ruining things for generations, but this will also further destroy the so-called credibility of Western bigots, bullies and haters (many of whom, sadly, claim to be Christians). I hope this fine woman will be safe, well-protected and supported for speaking out and speaking truth. She is a fine example of humanity! ^_^ (y)
