Not just the gig economy either. In fact, I could name several other companies that routinely screw over, abuse and exploit their employees but, since they won't last much longer, there's no point...really. It's only a matter of time. There is no long-term gain in cheating people (either customers whom you depend on for your profit or employees that actually make the money for you) to make a profit. In the long run, it's going to cost you a Hell of a lot more than you make. Not very good long-term planning. For all those companies out there doing exactly that...enjoy the short vacation...but prepare for a lengthy retribution!

In the sharply worded Op-Ed, they say
