I'll bet a lot of people think they're safe because they feel like they are part of the majority (which is, essentially, ridiculous to presume when you have biased opinions and deception coming from every angle). However, even for those who believe they are, there is still great reason to be concerned. It's probably because, even if you think you are part of the majority, how long do you think that will last when you have no choice? Something to consider: When the Nazis came for the communists, I remained silent; I was not a communist. When they locked up the social democrats, I remained silent; I was not a social democrat. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I remained silent; I wasn't a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out. - Martin Niemöller - A new study shows people may be censoring themselves without realizing it.
