People seem to forget that the acting President has little to do with the current state of the union. No matter how hard Trump tries to take credit for the current economic boom in the US, it is not a result of his efforts which, to date, have been all but nonexistent. In fact, it had already started well before he entered into office and probably didn't begin until well after Bush's second term. It is a myth that is often perpetuated by those who don't understand politics very well or the delayed reactions that are characteristic of a Presidential transfer. It is, basically, a 'muddier' form of cognitive bias/cognitive dissonance. Opinions help by those who have biases or personal opinions, however weak and/or without merit or evidence they may be, that is much harder to clarify and demonstrate. Nevertheless, there is no logic or evidence involved. That said, it would benefit all those who 'choose to think' that Trump is the reason the economy is getting better, despite the fact he has done nothing, gone back on many - if not all - of his campaign promises or has outright lied...something for which he and his ineffectual, poorly staffed office (there are still MANY outstanding positions that have not been filled and the ones that have...have been filled by people who either don't belong there or are utterly unqualified for the position) is currently being investigated. Let us look at some 'more reliable' information...
