Anyone with any intellectual knowledge of politics (and ethics) already knew this from the very beginning. I've long been saying that Sen. Sanders should've won the Democratic primary - and would've won, effortlessly - had there not been 'shenanigans' going on both with the DNC (in Clinton's pocket...book) as well as the Trump campaign, currently being investigated for a long list of things, including treason, money laundering, perjury and who knows what else (we will see). There's a major problem with using underhanded, unethical methods and committing crimes in order to further a selfish goal. When foul, disingenuous, unethical and selfish people commandeer an opportunity meant for someone who's not set on accomplishing self-serving goals but wishes to lead the people in an ethical, productive and beneficial way someone to become a leader, there can be nothing good that will come from it. Karma will always, eventually, catch up. Now, even the person who was accused of also being in Clinton's camp (Donna Brazile) is finally admitting the truth about the rigged DNC. While there may be a short-lived benefit for these people and their selfish, unethical actions, I have not seen any benefit for either Clinton and Trump, both of whom have been assailed at every moment since both the Democratic primary and, subsequently, the general election by those of us who are well aware of what has transpired. This has been a constant reality clearly obvious to those of us who knew the entire 2016 Presidential election was one of the worst political events that the US electorate has ever experienced - an outright theft of the highest office in the land. It is as profound a reality as the fact that Sen. Sanders has continued to take the high road and 'do his job' without wading into political mud-slinging. In short, it is the very reason he should have been elected President in the first place. It is time for the criminals on both sides of the 2016 general election to serve hard time. It is time for the US to heal and get back on track. It is time for the people to wake up and realize that there can be nothing constructive that will happen when ethics is sacrificed or sidelined in favor of people's misguided opinions and when matters as grave as the future and well-being of a nation are to be decided. I suspect we are seeing a great moment in history - an epiphany and, though I may be seeing it much too soon, I believe it is inevitable. I am a die-hard optimist...who has suffered enough. I am quite sure I am not the only one... 😊
