This is something I bet many people will enjoy! I've been to #3 (Lake Taal, Luzon, Philippines) and I can tell you it was fascinating to stand in a volcano inside a giant lake while looking at another lake inside the volcano. I suspect the only reason it doesn't erupt is because the lake water keeps it cool - but there was a sulfurous smell, lots of smoke and periodic, spontaneous bursts of vegetation catching on fire. #12 is, to me, terribly tragic. A perfect example of the idiocy of the human species... :( Have a look... I'm sure it's worth your time:
