- Follow >>> A New Kind Of Human ... a page dedicated to Truth. The story of Malcolm X is an important one that we can all learn from... Malcolm came from an extremely rough life and was a product of his environment. After going to prison, he met a man who belonged to the Nation of Islam, which at the time was a black nationalist movement that had good teachings, but also preached some hateful things such as white people literally being an evil species of "white devils" (their stance has largely changed since then). At this point in Malcolm's life he was very lost as a human being and meeting this man changed everything for the better. Malcolm gave up drugs, alcohol, and crime, and became a devout follower of the organization and its "prophet" Elijah Muhammad. He genuinely believed with all of his heart that this organization was God's hand and the ultimate Truth because they helped to lift him up and empower him, and also offered an explanation about why the world was the way it was that made more sense than anything he had ever heard before. Over time though Malcolm became disillusioned with the the group and became one of their main opponents. In fact the gunman that shot Malcolm was from the NOI(it is believed by many that the government was involved too). Understanding Malcolm's story is important because so many of us whilst in pursuit of Truth, make the common mistake of believing we have found it when really we have only gotten a vague glimpse of it. We come into this world, and we are deliberately led astray by this corrupt system that profits from our ignorance and weakness. So we are searching for identity, strength and purpose. But if we cling to the first vague glimpse of Truth we find, we can be blinded and even manipulated, which is precisely what happened to Malcolm X according to his own words. At the highest level of understanding and knowledge throughout history, from Jesus to Malcolm X, and countless martyrs who died to bring us Truth, these wise teachers have come forward and explained that we must stand together in peace and that the real enemy is not a skin color or religion, but an "elite" class who sit at the top of the proverbial pyramid. As X says in this interview all that matters is if you are a good human being, simple as that.
