People in the west (America, etc.) get upset when they cannot get good medical care and/or the cost is too high. That's nothing compared to what's going on in other places in the world. This is only one perspective (a medical one) of a single issue that has gone horribly wrong in Syria...of which there are many more. Despite all this (or maybe because people know little or nothing about it), people still judge, ridicule and ostracize Syrian refugees. That's pretty pathetic, if you ask me. If you lived in a country like this (Syria), you'd be a refugee seeking another place to live too. Maybe, when you see what life is like for a lot of people there, you'll have a different perspective. Here's an enlightening (and horrifying) read - if you have the courage: - As the regime tries to destroy the opposition’s medical system, medical workers pursue a novel and desperate effort to provide aid.
