There is a reason President Eisenhower (a US Military General) warned the US electorate about empowering The Military Industrial Complex. The reason for this is very profound and, to anyone with a logical mind, very good advice. You see, if we use billion-dollar weapons, we have obviously spent a majority of government money (civilian tax money) to make them and probably intend to use them. If we use them - which is a great idea for those making them since they get to replenish them once they are spent - at a steep price to American citizens, we are going to create a lot of enemies. In order to 'defend ourselves' (from the fictitious problem we have created which is just a financial opportunity depriving millions of Americans of resources they pay for and costing millions of lives worldwide), we will have to keep making them and that is expensive, so we spend billions on weapons and the cycle goes on and on. People die (usually foreigners - at least, until Kashoggi), companies who make devices of death profit (I have an uncle who designed weapons for the DOD and another one who created life-saving equipment for soldiers - I'll let you decide which one I appreciated more), Americans suffer an economy that neither educates them, updates their infrastructure or allows them to live the safe, financially secure lives they could be living, creates political crime by way of elevating people who would support this criminal enterprise of killing people for profit (or jailing them, like the privatized American prison system) and we keep 'drinking the Kool-Aid' these politicians, corporations and media hacks keep throwing to us while they destroy lives, rape our economy and take the money to the bank (another group that is heavily involved). I cannot comprehend how it can be so difficult for people to see what is - and has been - going on without doing anything about it. The terrorism is created, the need for weapons is created, the profit from death is created and the only people who are not benefiting from all of it are the people who are paying for all of it...the American citizens. Well, now an American citizen has died and our leader is trying to look the other way so he can sell billions of dollars of US weapons to a country that was the origin of 19 people who brought down the WTC, Bin Lade and his 50 siblings, host of the most violent sect of Islam (Wahabism) and many US citizens just keep on putting their red ball caps on and rooting for the most egregious, greedy, narcissist ever to have a stranglehold on this nation and blatantly violate all that Americans want this country to be - right under the uneducated noses (no doubt, thanks to education being raped by war profiteers) of the very Americans this half-wit is supposed to be serving. If you cannot see the inherent misfortune in that or comprehend that nothing in the future of any benefit to this nation will ever come of it, I would advise you to spend a great deal more time studying...since not doing so may very well destroy your future, the future of all other people and the health and longevity of this beautiful planet - the only place we humans have to live...and if you're counting on NASA to save you, give up. I have long since given up that idealistic fantasy when I realized we are far too busy spending money on killing each other and destroying the planet than on what we intend to do when there is no longer any safe place to live. Education is freedom! ;)

Education is freedom! ;) - Mike Pompeo and James Mattis are due to give a briefing on Wednesday but there is no sign CIA director will take part
