The truth is that religion is no better or worse than anything else that man has perpetuated, whether it is business, war or god. Business is a potential way for people to become successful and financially stable - but there are two paths. War is a way to engage an enemy - but there are two paths. Religion is a way to encourage people to have virtue and hope - but there are two paths. There is the good path: Concerning business, it involves fair trade and practice as well as quality products, services and great customer service. Concerning war, there is self-defense and domestic protection. Regarding religion, there is virtue, wisdom and hope for those who wish to have faith in the lessons - even if they don't accept all the dogma. There is also the bad path: Concerning business, there are corrupt, dishonest, cheating, greedy and selfish criminals who have take the system and corrupted it. Concerning war, there are offensive attacks, imperialism and rogue lawless mass murder. Regarding religion, there are non-believing, judgmental, hypocritical people who have chosen not to have faith in the wisdom (regardless of the dogma) and have decided to go around ruining it for those who are trying to get something constructive out of it. There are also those who exploit religion for personal or financial gain or who seek power or superiority. I would say many of the people here are bullies and want to beat up on others for their choices, despite the fact these people were free to make their own choices and should allow others the same dignity, and are actually the ones who are doing the most harm (since they corrupt those trying to do right by virtue, no matter the source, which is a win for anyone who wants a peaceful, harmonious society)...therefore, are hypocrites...and are no better than those who exploit religion for personal or financial gain or who seek power or superiority. I hope these people are all proud of themselves. Maybe, one day, they will all grow up and learn how to treat others with dignity. Maybe then, they will live in a world that has far more people doing the right thing than people like themselves who are clearly doing the wrong thing. If you don't want to believe, fine...keep it to yourself. By judging others with faith, you are no better than those with faith who judge you. You have become your own problem.
