Well... I don't think someone spends 4 decades in the business and sells over 100 million albums only to be derided and forgotten when they pass away, no matter if they lived a troubled, controversial life or not. Homophobia is too frequently the reason. I don't have an issue with that because I see artists for their productivity, not for their personal lives. Also, people often forget how the dynamic nature of life that once made artists popular can also make them forgotten. Unfortunate news that the world lost another accomplished artist (we've lost far too many in 2016), though his career had been turbulent for awhile and was, likely, headed for more difficult times. Rest in peace... You made your mark on life, now it's time to take a long break. - The British pop singer, who achieved fame as half of the duo Wham! before a breakout solo career, was 53.
