This is SO 'Not just about ISIS' - in fact... I think I've just found the most impressive, informative and accurate article that explains Islam - its divisions, sects (violent and non-violent), influences on global culture as well as ways they have been influenced by global culture, etc. It goes into great detail about the effects that oil (and money) has had, the origins of Islam, the civil and sectarian wars, wars involving other emergent empires, etc. It truly explains everything - including the formation of ISIS, who are currently causing a great deal of terrorism in the world. This is like the 'CLIFF'S NOTES' of Islamic history...and it is fairly thorough. I'm sure that most people will have a very hard time understanding it, especially those who know little or nothing about Islam already or who have already made the mistake of not caring or being satisfied with their ignorance, but it is definitely very interesting, enlightening and - in light of current affairs in the world - I would say it is a 'must read'! Those who choose to try to simplify what is a very complex issue spanning more years than the United States has even existed will certainly not be of any help towards global issues that affect us all. Such people will only remain ignorant and appear foolish to those who are aware. I think it would be a disservice to all people, especially Christians (and other faiths) who have spent so much time studying the Bible (and other religious texts) - also spanning more years than the US has existed - to pass up this valuable knowledge. This information may, in fact, drastically change a number of things you believe now, help you understand a lot of things you have been unable to understand and affect how you will look at them in the future. I also believe that, if you are TRULY interested in seeing a peaceful world in the future, you'll take the time to check it out... And your comments are welcome below...as long as you remember this: FIRST, read the article (or don't bother commenting). Then, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I welcome all comments, regardless of whether they are for or against, but I won't tolerate hate speech or stupidity. You won't gain any respect by acting like a hatred-spewing idiot. ;) (y)

Those who would not conform to this view should be killed, their wives and daughters violated, and their possessi...
