Here’s a fascinating scientific history of the evolution of humans which appears to include the conventional as well as updated scientific data regarding the issue. Unfortunately, it’s probably not going to fit within the confines of a much shorter, non-scientific, ‘holy text’ history on which many of the religious faithful seem to rely. However, the majority of contemporary religious people seem to be much less interested in or inclined towards science and far more inclined towards blind faith and politics.
