I found an article describing a bit about what happened to some of the military hardware owned by Hughes Aircraft (a place my grandmother worked her whole life as a secretary and retired from to become a writer) before they sold out to Raytheon. This is why Eisenhower warned us about supporting the Military Industrial Complex and why people who support the promotion of armed conflict through military engagement (which, clearly, does not include many soldiers) should be very careful about who and what they are supporting. It is probably a very good idea for those who are not updated, information-wise, about these things to pay attention to this article...
