I just thought I'd explain what that overlay on my profile photo was about, for those who may not know... We've been seeing a lot of 'rainbow flags' lately and quite a bit of discussion about it, as well. Now, I support equality about as much as a true human being can and even posted something about it earlier - but I didn't put the rainbow flag overlay over my profile photo. Here's why: I think, in some way, it is also somewhat divisive. Just as the Confederate Flag/Battle Flag discussions caused a lot of feverish commenting online, the same was true with the rainbow flag. I have no wish to be divisive. In fact, I think that's what's tearing the human race apart. Having said that - I found something I could support...very much. It just happened to be a flag, as well. I put a link below so you can read about it, yourselves. My hope is that other people will see this post (I hope everyone shares it) and others will get behind the idea. It's one that could improve the future and, perhaps, keep us from dividing ourselves up into smaller and smaller groups until we all stand alone, divided...and we fall. I decided to make an overlay (in Photoshop) and put it over my profile photo. I can even help you modify your profile photo too, if you want to show your support. :) (y)
