This is a very good article. I recommend reading it. Then, you can come back to my comment below. _______________________________________________ Shades of 9-11 and G. W. Bush... Typical fear-mongering and electorate manipulation in order to push through Draconian policy to remove the freedoms that people enjoy so much. I wonder how many Republicans are bitching about being frisked at the airport, having to wait in lines at security checkpoints, constant alarmist rhetoric on the news, apprehension with respect to practicing their chosen religions, etc...etc...(on and on). Despite the fact that another incident happened in London (and, considering the 'terrorists' yelled about Allah in English, not Arabic - not to mention, their 'suicide vests' were fake - I am not exactly convinced it wasn't a false flag), this matter was wrapped up in 8 minutes. Surely, that is a success for effective security procedures. After all, the only way to really improve on that response is to be a mind-reader...which is not bloody likely to happen. Trump's response was ridiculous (in my humble opinion), as usual...he will never be 'Presidential'. “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety” - Benjamin Franklin Sure, security is a good thing and it is always wise to remain vigilant, but at what cost will it come? Surely, there should be a greater sense of balance. If the Republican Party is so possessed with securing the welfare of our nation and reducing the government budget, then why do they spend an ungodly (and unmatched, globally) amount of money on security and defense while shorting anything that has to do with securing the liberties and welfare of the people in this country who are suffering from things that aren't even remotely related to terrorism - but rather, failed economics policy? No need to answer that...I am already well aware of the answers. I'm sure I'm not alone - and the number of those who know is growing rapidly!
